A Sequestration is a Scottish legal term for personal bankruptcy where you are formally declared Bankrupt by the Court. See further details at National Archives of Scotland (sequestrations).

The date at the start of each paragraph is the date of the newspaper publication. Actual announcements could have been made up to one week earlier. Details have been transcribed from scanned newspaper images. All care was taken to ensure accuracy, but sometimes it was difficult to read images. Some duplications may occur as details have been transcribed from a number of different newspapers. The details below are not comprehensive.
